“I will search for you through a thousand worlds, and tenthousand lifetimes, until I find you.” — Kai, 47 Ronin
Ronin is a true samurai.
You can see it in the way he walks, in his proud posture, inthe way he watches the world around him, and in the natural instinct he has toprotect those he considers his own. There is something deeply noble and almostregal about him. He carries himself as if he were walking with a great sword athis side — calm, alert, confident, and ready.
But Ronin was not always this serious.
When he was younger, he was often a real littletroublemaker. He was constantly looking for ways to get attention. He did notalways understand whether what he was doing was good or bad — and, honestly, that was not the most important thing to him.
What mattered was one simple message:
“I am here.”
He wanted to be seen, included, and noticed.
With the children, Ronin showed a completely different sideof himself. He played with them, acted silly, joined their games, and evenslept beside them. He was fast, creative, curious, and extremely attentive. Healways seemed to notice what was happening around him and was quick to becomepart of it.
Later, Ronin moved to Canada, where he began living with twoShiba Inu girls.
And that was when the king’s life truly began.
Almost immediately, his protective side became muchstronger. Like the samurai he was named after, he began watching over his pack. His body language became more mature and confident. His walk had a certaindignity to it, almost as if he were carrying an invisible sword and takingresponsibility for everyone around him.
But behind that impressive presence lives a dog with agolden heart.
Ronin is kind, intelligent, loyal, and deeply attached tohis owner. He absolutely adores his person and is remarkably willing to listenand cooperate. When he trusts you, there is a strong sense of devotion in theway he responds.
And then there is one of Ronin’s most unforgettablecharacteristics:
his voice.
Ronin does not really “talk” in the typical dramatic Shibaway.
He hums.
He makes deep, low, almost meditative sounds, as if he werechanting his own personal mantra. His voice has a rich bass tone, and he usesit to communicate everything.
If something does not please him, you will hear it.
If he is extremely happy, you will hear that too.
If he has an opinion, there is absolutely no chance you willmiss it.
You may not understand every sound, but somehow the tonetells you exactly what he means.
His communication is not loud for the sake of being loud. Itfeels intentional, almost thoughtful. Ronin does not simply make noise — heexpresses himself.
That is perhaps one of the things that makes him so unique.
He has the dignity of a samurai, the confidence of a king, the instinct of a protector, and the heart of a gentle companion.
He can be proud without being cold.
Protective without being unnecessarily aggressive.
Serious when needed, but still playful enough to enjoy life.
Ronin has grown from a mischievous young dog who wantedeveryone to notice him into a confident male who seems to understand his placein the family.
He no longer needs to say:
“I am here.”
You simply feel his presence.
And just like a true ronin, he watches, protects, followshis own code, and stays loyal to those he has chosen as his family.
