Gerda

Gerda has always been my little mother hen. There is something incredibly warm and comforting about her. From the moment she came into our lives, you could feel it. She was like a little light in the darkness — gentle, kind, positive, and somehow able to make everything around her feel softer just by being there. As she grew, this side of her became even stronger. Gerda is naturally caring. She watches over those around her, stays patient, remains calm, and carries a kind of quiet maternal energy. She never needs to demand attention. She simply comes close, stays beside you, and somehow makes you feel that everything will be okay. Because of her stronger, slightly more masculine appearance, people sometimes thought she was a male at first glance. In the show ring, that often meant she had to prove herself a little more than other females. But Gerda never let that change her.

She never tried to become louder.

She never tried to become harder.

She simply kept showing who she was.

And in the end, what always stood out was the same thing: her calmness, her kindness, and that soft, warm energy that cannot be taught. Gerda reminds me that strength does not always have to be loud. Sometimes real strength is being able to remain gentle. She is not a dramatic diva, not a little troublemaker, and not a dog who needs to control everything around her.

She is simply good.

Kind-hearted.

Caring.

Patient.

And incredibly lovable.

My little sweet pea.

My little mother hen.

And perhaps the best way to describe her is:

a little fairy in a Shiba Inu body.
