Bonita is a gentle, thoughtful and quietly confident Shiba Inu with a wonderfully balanced character. From a young age, she has always preferred calm interaction over rough play. She is not the type of dog who seeks conflict or pushes herself into the centre of attention, yet she has never been weak or unsure of herself. If another dog becomes too rough, Bonita knows exactly when and how to stand her ground.

She has a very expressive personality and is noticeably more vocal than her sister Kitana. Bonita likes to communicate in her own Shiba way, using small sounds, expressions and body language to make her feelings known.

One of Bonita’s most beautiful qualities is her deeply maternal nature. She has a natural instinct to care for others and reminds us of a gentle “mother hen.” As a mother, she is exceptionally patient, attentive and devoted. She watches over her puppies with remarkable calmness and allows them the time and space they need to grow, explore and learn.

Her patience seems almost endless. She combines softness with quiet strength, making her an excellent example of a stable and balanced Shiba Inu temperament. She is affectionate without being demanding, observant without being nervous, and independent without being distant.

Bonita brings a peaceful energy to our family and kennel. She is the kind of dog whose character becomes more beautiful the longer you know her. Her gentle presence, natural confidence, expressive personality and wonderful maternal instinct make her very special to us.

For us, Bonita represents one of the qualities we value most in the Shiba Inu: a strong character wrapped in calmness, dignity and quiet affection
